This en-suite accommodation has honestly made my uni experience so much more comfortable. The room is clean, modern, and well-furnished with everything I need — a decent-sized desk, plenty of storage, and a comfy bed. Having a private bathroom is a huge bonus, especially during busy mornings. It’s also in a great location, close to campus and local shops, which makes day-to-day life really convenient. Overall, it’s been a smooth, stress-free living experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a bit more comfort and privacy during uni.
Stayed for 2 years, was nice play to stay, didn’t like that it’s mixed years. I liked the room, bed was nice. The bins outside were vile. Monthly checks of the kitchen wasn’t great and the 1pm Friday fire alarm wasn’t great.
Was a good time in terms of my room, didn’t like my roommates. Maintenance was alright a bit slow sometimes. WiFi was good. Reception was nice.
The accommodation was well kept and well situated with it being relatively close to town and to the university as well. The rooms allowed for me to enjoy my stay and the bathrooms and kitchens were of high standard as well.
My stay at mercury point 23/24 was great. Very spacious room. I received my deposit back and staff at reception were always helpful and friendly. Maintenance were always able to solve any issues that did come up. Overall no complaints from my stay that year.
Nice accommodation, good Wi-Fi and the Ensuite was nice, only downside is year of study isn’t taken into account so mixed years not just first year with first years. Alright location bit annoying at night due to traffic leaving the city but not noticeable. Good staff on site.
Mercury Point is nice modern private accommodation for students it’s about 15 minutes from Solent University. It has big kitchen areas and spacious rooms. Residential team are not quick to resolve issues and the accommodation lacks social areas for residents. Walls are extremely thin, heater barely heats the room and the accommodation is very overpriced for what you get. Would only recommend as a last resort search for an accommodation.
Mercury point is one of the popular private accommodations around Solent University its modern and has spacious rooms. Beds are comfortable and kitchen and bathroom are reasonably good. Walls are very thin and you can hear your roommates literally speaking normally. Hardly any social areas and extremely overpriced.
I stayed at Mercury Point during my second year at uni, and honestly, it was a big upgrade from traditional halls like Wessex Lane.
Living in student accommodation was actually a great experience. It was super convenient being so close to campus, and it made meeting new people really easy. The all-inclusive bills took a lot of stress off, and any issues were sorted quickly. I’d definitely recommend it, especially for first-year students.
Very local to my university, feel like their rooms are very good in terms of space and aesthetic. Their kitchen space is very large being able to fit 10+ people
Mercury Point offers a solid choice for students seeking en-suite accommodation in Southampton. The rooms are clean and functional, providing a private bathroom, a comfortable bed, ample storage, and a decent study area. While not luxurious, they meet the essential needs of student living. The location is a significant advantage—just a 10-minute walk to Southampton Solent University and within easy reach of the city centre, including West Quay Shopping Centre and the marina. Having a Tesco Express nearby adds to the convenience for everyday shopping.
Good letting agency, good communication! Liked the Property and nice work provided by the letting agency
Good 24/7 security system, which allows me to feel safe wherever I am within the vicinity. Also like the common room, containing a pool table, table tennis and a dart board, it allows me to meet new people whilst playing fun games like these.
