At Emily Davis, I was impressed with how quickly issues were resolved—my window wouldn’t close properly and it was fixed the next day. The contract was clear and the staff answered all my questions. I got my full deposit back without deductions. Would happily stay with them again.
Great place to stay as it has 24 hour surveillance making me feel safer around the premises, the shared kitchen is very big in terms of capacity fitting up to 8-10 people
Emily Davies was a really disappointing accommodation. Building work took place nearly daily, disturbing our studying + free time continuously. There was someone in our rooms completing maintenance such as light bulb changes each week and building work took place during the night, affecting our ability to sleep. Our shower rarely had hot water, drawers etc. in the room were broken prior to moving in and they completed room checks way too frequently.
I am not really the biggest fan of non en-suites snd this lived up to it very cool designs but hygiene was my worry for some of the bathrooms and shared areas. But had a bed and ceiling so I was making do
I’ve had a generally positive experience staying at this student accommodation for the past year. The location is one of its biggest advantages — just a 10-minute walk from the university, so it’s super convenient for getting to classes. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby, making it easy to grab a bite to eat or do some quick shopping. The room I stayed in was small but comfortable, with all the essentials like a bed, desk, and wardrobe. I was really pleased with the Wi-Fi connection, which was fast and reliable, even during busy times. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to dealing with maintenance issues. When I had a broken lightbulb in my room, they sent someone to fix it within a couple of days. The building felt safe, with secure entry points and CCTV cameras in common areas. One downside was the shared kitchen, which could get crowded and a bit messy at times, but that’s expected with student housing. Overall, this accommodation provided a solid and reliable place to stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere convenient and affordable.
Even as a postgraduate student, this accommodation ticks all the boxes. It’s quiet enough for study, and the private rooms make it easy to focus while still being part of a community
Queensgate is a nice place to stay. The building is not your typical large student accommodation. It’s a small building, which is nice because it’s quiet and you get to know other residents. Staff are not on-site, but they have always responded quickly and sorted any issues for me, which is really nice. They are really friendly.
The studios and en-suites are clean, modern, and well-designed. You get your own bathroom, and the furniture is much newer compared to most uni halls
Emily Davis is slightly above average—rooms are decent, and the location is great. Staff are helpful, but some facilities could use improvement. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
The accommodation is regularly maintained by the letting agent, has 24/7 security and allows for proper safety.

Good 24/7 security system, which allows me to feel safe wherever I am within the vicinity. Also like the common room, containing a variety of activities, it allows me to meet new people whilst being entertained with activities
