I lived on Booth Avenue last year and the house was managed by Thornley Groves. The main problem however was that the landlord would use all of their own handymen. The landlord would take an extremely long time to respond to any of the reported issues. And the people he would send over would be very unprofessional and not fix things most of the time.
We didn’t have a working washing machine for two months of our tenancy. When we tried to claim back on laudremattes Thornley Groves said that it was down to the landlord whether he would reimburse us which he obviously chose not to. We didn’t have a working tumble dryer for 3 months of our tenancy also and this caused damp problems. We also had a leak in an upstairs bedroom caused from a top floor shower which wasn’t fixed the entire year.
Overall, Thornley Groves don’t want to hold themselves accountable and let bad landlord walk all over their tenants. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The only consolation was that we managed to get nearly all of our deposit back.
agency ok at resolving issues but we were left without wifi for the first two weeks, and they tried to claim we reported it a week later than we actually did when they acted slowly.

Thornley Groves have been amazing, they reply to maintenance issues very quickly and have been very helpful in answering questions in person and via email. The house is great, and we haven’t had any major problems so far. I trust Thornley Groves to find the perfect houses for students.
