The renting agent was awful the guy who ran this place had a problem with everything and blamed us at points for people not taking the place at the end of the year. Always had an ego to him, we had no working extractor fan all year and as soon as we leave the landlord rips it out and replaces it all. One room has a en-suite that didn’t work. Wouldn’t recommend the company.
The house they have provided us is very nice with en-suite toilets 6 rooms, living room and kitchen space. The problem has been the treatment of us residents from the landlord throughout this academic year.
The stay here was not great due to the ill-mannered and slightly arrogant agent overseeing the house; during our stay, the first week we arrived, the extractor fan broke in our kitchen and was left to sit the entire time and was eventually removed and left in our garden. The one room with an ensuite shower didn’t work, and this was due to awful plumbing within the building. The only real upside to this place was having good WIFI in the area. We received our deposit back, and this was because we left it in excellent condition, with was we could go in good condition.
Prompt maintenance, impressed!
Unresponsive and unreliable.
Friendly staff, smooth process.
Terrible communication, avoid!
Neglected maintenance, disappointing experience.
Efficient and reliable, excellent service.
Rude and unresponsive agents, worst service.
Highly professional, exceeded expectations.
If you are looking for a hassle free landlord during your studies – go somewhere else. Hameed Afzal is rude, unethical and unprofessional in how he conducts his business.
I never write reviews, but I’m passionate about this one. I was excited to view one of their properties. I sent them an email via RightMove, no response. Alrighty. A few days pass. I called twice, before they picked up to say they were busy with a client – absolutely no problem, it must be a busy time of year. They call me back a couple hours later – a little later than I expected, but okay. I emphasised a specific property I was interested in, and the agent arranged for a viewing. Brilliant! They said they would send me a text right after with the address. This text did not arrive for two days. Kinda weird. Also, the address was not the property I asked for. A little annoying, but who knows, maybe this one will be just as good! I arrive at the property and wait for 25 minutes past the scheduled time, and the realtor never arrives. I call the agency twice to see if I have the right time/place, but no one picked up. So, I left. A full day and one terrible review later, I was finally contacted to hear why the agent never arrived and to rearrange a viewing. I would have much more appreciated a call to inform me of the situation at the time, rather than the agent letting me stand outside the property, losing patience. So, on the upside, I received my apology and the agent was accommodating to my now incredibly short-notice schedule, and agreed to show me the property I’d initially wanted. However, this now meant there was less than 24 hours to notify any tenants. I assumed the properties must be empty, in that case – one was, one was not. Not a great impression. The day of that viewing, there was some confusion as to where to meet, so I called to clear it up – twice. Thankfully, he was quick to call me back. It was at this glorious moment, near the minute the viewing was meant to begin, that he nonchalantly told me he’d be arriving 30 minutes late. Please allow me emphasise – he probably wouldn’t have told me this if I hadn’t called. Again, he was totally prepared to have me stand out there for half an hour, patiently waiting for him to arrive. I waited that 30 minutes, and I wish I hadn’t. Just spare yourself. They’re non-communicative, don’t respect your time, and would rather parade viewers into your house without 24 hours notice than deal with a bad review. (I also apologise for making the moderators read the various versions of this review as this adventure unfolded.)
