They’re great at helping you out if you stay on them, our experience is the landlords they work with are hard to get in contact with. They’re always happy to chat with when you go in, but I did have to threaten them with legal action to get them to come out and deal with a mice problem we had.
Booking process was great, communication was helpful and responses were quick. Would recommend for anyone looking for uni accommodation.
House well looked after. Landlord gets back to messages quickly and there has been no major problems.
Easy to contact throughout my 2 years using them.had a few problems with our fire alarm in the block of flats we had and they dealt with it quickly every time. Emails replied to very quickly as well
The house is nice and has had minimal problems; the landlord has been responsive and helpful most of the time.
Although we had no follow up on our viewings the lady who showed us round was polite, kind and answered any question we had well.
My flat in second year was well looked after, modern and any issues we had the company were over quickly to come and have a look / fix the issues. We felt safe with them and I have resigned with them for a property in my fourth year!
We viewed three different houses all looked in good condition , they were very informative and open about everything e.g telling us we had to pay for the tumble dryer. We also spoke to the students who live there currently and they had been in the house for 2 years which was a good sign. The only negative I would have is if you want to get in touch with them it is a lot easier to speak to someone over the phone or in the office, they were not very good at replying to emails.
Not a bad letting agents. Quick to answer phone and easy to speak to staff. However takes a long time for them to sort any issues. For example, heating didn’t get fixed for 3 weeks.

This was a 8 person house close to uni and letting agents were purple letting. Always replied to emails quickly. When we had rats they said that we had to tidy the house before they’d even think about getting anyone to come out, we lived on a street that backed onto where all of the bins for everyone on the street were kept. They put a coin charge on our tumble drier “so that we didn’t put small loads on and damage the drier” but the coin machine kept breaking so we couldn’t even use the drier and then they kept the coins that didn’t even give us a dry of our clothes. They also gave us chairs that were on the way out already and when they broke we had to pay for. The WiFi also barely reached the second floor never mind the third and fourth and when we asked them to add another router for this we were told that the WiFi is suitable and they won’t do anything for it. So the people at the top had no WiFi. They were good when it came to leaving the property and handing keys back, efficient and I took photos when I left and this meant I didn’t get charged any cleaning fees.
Purple lettings have been great when 5 of us were looking for a 2nd year house. They were always quick to respond to our emails and offered to show us more properties on the day of the viewing that they had available. They also made sure we knew all about the contract and the new housing laws coming into place in march. Great experience so far!
Not the most friendly people and don’t really listen to requests. Very tight don’t really help with needs
Purple lettings have been great to rent off, the apartment I rented is amazing. We had a couple issues with the oven and they were fast on their emails and got in contact with the Landlord straight away, who came and fixed the issue for us almost immediately. I am very impressed with them.
The flat is fairly managed and agency are relatively easy to contact. landlord explained fire safety thoroughly

Purple Lettings is very quick to act on any issues you may face whilst renting from them. The team are extremely friendly and understand that you are students and are always willing to help you with any issues you have no matter big or small.
Had to call them lots and threaten with legal action to get them to come out and fix a mice problem. Not ideal.

Renting with Purple lettings has been an interesting experience. They’ve half heartedly tried to help us but we’ve had multiple issues with our property that are still on going after over 6 months of asking. Do not recommend but the properties are decent
Good communication, could have been clearer with the timeline of events and what was still needed from all members of the house
House has had 100 different issues with it, including a non working oven, a pipe blockage that caused the whole house to flood and 2 non working lights. When issues are reported they take about a month to fix. Don’t use purple.

Purple letting gave me and 8 others a very suitable sized house, which fit us all well and each bedroom was spacious. However they are very slow to reply to maintenance requests – it took 4 months to get our heating fixed from October to January
This agency is good for affordable prices and for close locations for university establishments

Purple lettings are a really good agency to go through. However, they are expensive and when moving into my house they didn’t let us know about paying for the tumble dryer everytime we had to use it. They are good with maintenance and the land lords is really nice and understanding.
Very helpful and quick to get things set up and running. All issues are sorted very quickly with little hassle.
