NOPS is a student letting agency serving students in Oxford. On WhichPad, students can read and share first-hand experiences of renting through NOPS, including feedback on communication, maintenance, property condition and the overall renting process.
Letting agent didn’t help very much with anything that needed to be done and fixed. Deposit took months to come back and we didn’t receive a large amount for repairs that were not needed and like that when we moved in.
Are very hard to get hold of
Are very confusing
Gets stuff done but takes a while
Left the house in a very poor condition for us to move into
Extremely disappointing experience with NOPS. When we were supposed to move into our second-year student house, the property was left in an unacceptable condition, with previous tenants’ rubbish, stained carpets, broken furniture and even drug residue. This delayed our move-in by five days, with no compensation offered.
We were also left with only one working shower between five tenants for five weeks, despite repeatedly raising the issue. When someone finally attended, it was fixed in just four hours, making the five-week delay even more frustrating.
To top it off, we are now facing almost £400 each in deposit deductions for issues that were present before we moved in, many of which we have photographic evidence of and reported at the time.
Overall, incredibly poor property management, communication and treatment of student tenants. I would strongly advise other students to think twice before renting through NOPS.
Slow response, but do eventually sort things out. The maintenance man is lovely tho and very helpful but as a business it is very poor
House was left in a poor state on arrival, with very little agency from them to react, still dismissive and neglectful. Many issues reported, little sorted.
I wasn’t given much information when initially signing the tenancy agreement or how terms would work. Now living in the house I don’t get much responses back about maintenance issue and some issues I have raised multiple times and they still haven’t been fixed.
Poor communication from the landlord, maintenance issues took weeks to solve, constant shifting the blame and issues from previous year had not been solved by the time we moved in.
not very good communication and hard to address issues without waiting time. for example maintenance issues got addressed 4 weeks in
A good agent but a little chaotic at times. Sometimes takes a while to get things achieved but they do eventually sort things out. The agents themselves are lovely and do explain things but make sure to ask for a copy of your tenancy agreement as this was an issue for us.
