MGM Letting – Student Reviews On Letting Agents

The house is clean with no issues of mould or damp. Problems are generally fixed quickly. When an issue is reported we never know when someone is coming to the house meaning maintenance personnel arrive at the house at time un-announced at inconvenient times, meaning we cannot always use the bathroom/kitchen when needed before heading to uni.

The house was well kept with fairly new carpets making it feel more modern. A nice garden space also made a change from other student houses. Many issues that were reported such as the hoover, freezer and washing machine not working took a very long time to resolve. These were fairly major problems that needed immediate attention. There are often staff in the office which makes it easy to speak about any issues that we are having. Responses to emails are also generally quick.

The house is nice with comfy furniture and large bedrooms, however we have had maintenance issues. While email responses have been quick, there have been problems such as faulty lights, broken furniture, and leaking shower heads – some of which still haven’t been addressed.

The letting agency claimed that this house had been professionally cleaned before we moved in however, on our move in date the floor was dirty, the sofas weren’t clean and carpets dirty in bedrooms too. There were a number of problems upon move in including leaking pipes, doors not closing properly, chest of drawers broken and faulty lights in all rooms. The letting company are quick on their responses to our queries however, we often have to chase them up in order for them to send people round to fix these issues. There is also not enough kitchen storage space or enough space in the fridge or freezer. However, the house is nice with large bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and a nice outdoor seating area.

The house was clean and as pictured, our dishwasher and boiler were both replaced the same week we reported problems. Any issues were quickly dealt with and repaired. Overall we had a great experience with mgm
