Accomodation is bit more expensive for first year ones I know of. It’s really nice room and communal space and is close to the hoe if that’s what u want. Does feel far away from everything else tho. Social atmosphere was okay, didn’t feel like I ever knew my flat was random selection.

Flat is maintained to a high standard throughout the year. Maintenance will fix problems day they are submitted which is brilliant. Reception always happy to help in anyway and are reasonable about everything. Rooms are lovely and modern and warm throughout the year – I never have to turn my heating on even in the winter! My friends and I decided to stay for 2nd year as 1st year was so good. Perfect location too being 5 minutes from the Hoe and 10 minutes to the university.

When arriving room was really clean aswell as all supplies like bins and washing was pointed out and halls plan was easy to understand. The contract was clear and understandable. Have got deposit back “gift card” style. Would be a great place to live for students in 1st year or if not wanting to go in a house

astor house was a lovely place to stay, with helpful people on hand all the time. the flats were modern and clean (for the most part) and had maintenance constantly keeping things up to date and working properly. my only complaint would be some of the early arrivals from maintenance in own bedrooms, and not being given a specific time or day (usually just told between 8am and 8pm at some point that week) which makes it difficult to plan accordingly and was woken up multiple times at early hours , one time a maintenance walker came in when i was still asleep without knocking. other than this i have no complaints and would 100% recommend it for someplace to stay

Great place to live, I’ve really loved staying here. Quick to fix any issues, in the same day in most cases. Also they do lots of fun days for us and give us free stuff and throw competitions to win stuff
