The letting agents are very slow to respond to questions and emails if they respond at all. They also look to charge at every possible opportunity.

Never had any problems with company but house can be very cold

My experience with the letting agency was average at best. While they were able to find a rental property for me, their service lacked the personal touch and attention to detail that I was hoping for. Additionally, there were some delays and miscommunications that made the process more stressful than it needed to be.

House was in great shape when we moved in. Any issues that arose were quickly fixed by the agent. The contracts were clear and concise, with helpful staff that helped solve any problems.

Always takes at least a few nudges to get them to come to the property but when there they get the problem sorted

Viewings process wan’t great. Said they had organised a viewing but tenants were unaware. However, everything since has been very efficient and easy.

A decent accommodation especially for its price point. Could use a small refurbishment (replacing carpets, fixing showers, etc.)

For the price it is not amazing value. Sold as being central campus but wouldn’t say it is. Not the most social accommodation especially when there is no social space other than a very small kitchen. Needs renovating definitely.

Despite the extremely harsh pricing for the level of living, the accommodation maintenance are generally quick to act on problems, and the level of hygiene is good. If I have trouble, I have been made aware of who to contact, and they are always helpful in response.

“From the moment we signed the contract with Tara and Co, we had issues. They would get contracts muddled, the house was extremely unclean, with ovens broken, fridges not working and having to be taped shut to keep food from getting spoiled. I didn’t have a wardrobe for almost a month despite being given all these false timescales of when it would arrive. Tara and Co are extremely unprofessional and I couldn’t count on my hands the amount of times either myself or one of my housemates have been in tears over the way we have been let down and treated badly. If possible stay away, particularly if they are managing the property in question.”

Tara and Co haven’t been the most helpful this year as they take weeks to reply or resolve issues. Although their prices are reasonable, their communication is lacking and can cause unnecessary stress for students.

Was advertised to us as a ensuite with bathroom, and only found out when I entered that only the ground floor has a bath.

Tara and Co have been pretty rubbish. They don’t have spare keys for our individual room keys. Our landlord has been the one who fixes everything for us because when we go to Tara and Co about it they do nothing. They didn’t give us the alarm code which was an item they listed when we signed the contract. They also went over the agreed period to give us the itinerary.

Good social life, gives you exactly what it claims, nothing special but has provided me with a good student experience for my first year.

Good service, can be slow in terms of contact/communication and can be difficult if you don’t go to the office personally. However, easy to navigate website helps with this, and there are very little problems post/moving in.

Tara and Co have generally been very helpful! They tend to take ages to pick up the phone but once you get hold of them they are quite helpful!

They are extremely disorganised. The property itself is great and our landlord is excellent, however, Tara & Co are a waste of time. We always go to the landlord directly when we need anything as when we first moved in it took them 3 weeks to give us back one of our keys after they lost the master key. They also never gave us the alarm code despite us asking multiple times.

Tara and Co are nothing short of useless and stupid. They don’t respond to emails, don’t deliver on deadline they set for themselves and blatantly lie to you when you do in to see them. I am fortunate enough to have a very helpful and responsive landlord who I go to for any issues. I am treated as an idiot by Tara and Co, they think if they lie to me enough i’ll start to believe it. Would not recommend, but then again, they’re all useless in Leamington.

The house was as described online, and the letting agents are usually very quick to respond if we have any issues. The only small problem I would say is that sound travelled very well in the house from the kitchen to bedrooms to example which could be a bit annoying.

Tara and Co were helpful when it came to viewing properties when we were trying to find ourselves a flat. The contract process was mostly straight forward apart for them missing one of the parts of our included bills off but this was corrected quickly. However we started to have problems when we moved in – our toilet was not flushing properly and it took at least 3 reports over a few months before it was fixed. We later had problems with the shower and a leak in a wall which took a while to fix again.

My accommodation is good, it is a bit expensive but overall very happy with it. Good size and the letting agents are goif

Tara and Co were quite difficult to contact before starting my contract with them and when we were changing some tenant details it was almost impossible to get anything confirmed. There were multiple repeated emails causing anxiety that things hadn’t been confirmed. Added to this. We still to this day get emails with the wrong tenants and emails listed..

The letting agents are polite and easy to communicate with. They respond quickly and let us know of anything that may affect us.

No major issues. Good price but slightly small particularly the communal kitchen for 16 people.

The washjng machine broke and the water plug into it was from the tap which was quite gross but was fixed in about 2 weeks so not awful

The house was not in a great state at the start of the year but after insisting they did fix the broken parts of the house or replaced malfunctioning appliances. With some fixes they have been hesitant to pay for the repairs, instead putting us in contact with someone who could help us and making us pay.

Great pricing in general, good location (being on campus) – nice socially, near facilities and a good looking campus in general.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Jack martin as it is in a good position on campus and was ensuite. I have had to move all my stuff out for Easter which is a bit annoying but I end up paying less so as long as you are able to take everything back it’s worth it. The accomodation process worked well.

Warwick accommodation (Rootes) has been a really good place to stay in first year – the people are sociable, the kitchens are big enough and fully functioning, and the rooms are nice and spacious. My only qualm would be that the beds are somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that though, the accommodation services are helpful and listen to any emails, questions or complaints you may have.

Bit of a hassle getting anything sorted but the landlord was good

They contact me asking me to pay money or fill out contracts and I do as They say. Collecting my keys when I first arrived at the property was relatively straightforward and other than that my contact with them has been very limited which I guess is a good thing as nobody wants to be speaking to their letting agent every day
