Great location, estate agents and communication! Process was smooth and we secured our second year house.

They’re decent letting agents and quick to respond to emails. There was an issue with my roof they didn’t do much about, where I woke up with the wall wet. Aside from that, they’ve been helpful.

Our house was rented to us for two years of our time in Bristol. The house was in great shape so not many maintenance issues but when there was any we would email and they would respond same day and attend to the issue within the week, often day after or even same-day! Contract was clear and we got our full deposit back.

Overall, this student flat is a good space and offers a comfortable environment for living while studying. The location is really convenient, with easy access to transport, shops, and everything you need day to day, which makes student life much easier. It’s also good value for money, and I would recommend it to other students. Before moving in, the flat wasn’t maintained as well as we expected, and some furniture we requested took quite a long time to be provided. Maintenance and problem solving were not always handled quickly, which could sometimes be frustrating. However, the agency provided a very clear explanation of the contract and our rights as tenants, which was really helpful and reassuring. The staff were especially supportive when we had issues with bills. They were extremely helpful, quick to respond, and communicated clearly throughout, which made a big difference. Despite some delays with maintenance and furniture, the flat is a good place to live while studying, with a great location and fair pricing. Because of this, I would still recommend it to other students.

The flat was a bit run down and wasn’t maintained to a very high standard. Some facilities were quite old but were replaced when we raised the issue with them. Overall they were good, communicated clearly with us and we felt any problems raised with them were resolved in a reasonable timeframe. We received our full deposit back with no deductions.

Found our flat through contacting them directly, and they were super helpful in letting us know our options and arranging viewings. Since renting with them, they have always been very responsive and considerate. We always receive timely responses to issues we raise, and are always notified well in advance when contractors are visiting or viewings are taking place. Would recommend Jackson Properties wholeheartedly!

The flat was modern and well kept, they replied quickly and sorted any problems, there was a few disagreements around noise complaints, got all of deposit back.

Our flat is nice but Jackson hadn’t prepared properly for our arrival – had to carry out painting works etc after our tenancy started. Rent is also expensive, which is par for the course for Bristol. Overall decent experience with them

Jackson always respond promptly to our needs and are very clear with their communication. The property is great and anything broken or damaged has been reimbursed if we bought a new one. Could deal with the mould a bit better but apart from that all good.

They are an ok letting agency – the house is nice and is just about worth the rent (probably still high but thats Bristol). They are slow to fix issues, due to issues with contractors.

in general this year Grahame has been a pretty good landlord. the house was in pretty good condition when we arrived and everytime weve had an issue he has responded to our texts quickly and got someone round to have a look within about a week at no cost. the one thing that we have had issues with is his notifying us of his arrival or a workman coming in. weve called him up on it and it seems to be sorted, but in first time it was beginning to become a bit of an annoyance and invasion of privacy (as well as illegal). however, hes been a great landlord and would happily live in one of his houses again.

Was very expensive but fairly nice place and good location. Some things were broken but landlady was pretty good at getting things fixed. Still no door handles on a couple of the rooms though. And shower leaks into downstairs flat.

Worst letting agency I have ever come across. This year was our final year of university and Jackson properties made it one of the hardest. 4 months into our tenancy, we we’re served an eviction notice and told that we had to leave the property, this was due to a personal issue with neighbouring students, and the complaints received were completely fabricated. Jackson properties served us an eviction notice based on a word document of lies, that quite frankly could have been submitted by a child. When we pointed out that these claims were completely fabricated and proved to them that the issue was a personal matter, over any real problems, they backed down. Although they never actually withdrew the eviction notice, and we were subject to random house inspections for a period of time, we were also on a final warning that if we did anything at all we would be immediately evicted from the property, despite us proving that there was no issue in the first place. This left us having to complete our final year of university in a horrible environment, which ultimately affected the grades I received for the whole of my degree. Jackson are completely unprofessional and I would strongly advise you to go anywhere, with anyone, but DO NOT use jackson properties. I only rated 1 star as there was no 0 option.
