We had a few issues with the house when we moved in. For instance the toilet was leaking and we had no WiFi. The lettings agents were pretty helpful. They are a bit slower on text but we rang them and they were quick to resolve the issues. They laid out the tenancy terms well, however there was some information we were not given for example what day the bins need taking out and the code for the alarm. If something is broken or needs fixing they are quick to do so. Overall they have been a good letting agency.

The agency was very easy to work with and very understanding when it came to us replacing tenants multiple times. This would have been a stressful time otherwise. Additionally got complementary drinks and snacks when signing the contracts!

When we first moved in the house had been left in a bad state by the previous tenants. The letting agency were fast to respond by sending professional cleaners and replacing broken furniture – new bed frames, mattresses and sofa. So far the letting agency have been very good, and I would recommend them for others to use.

Had difficulty with housemates and bills but the letting agency made everything easy. Additionally they gave out complimentary drinks and snacks.

When booking a house with Big Blue Lettings the process was quite straightforward and they gave us a checklist of things we would need to do to sign the house which was helpful. They then passed us over to Apex Homes who owned the properties. When first moving into the house we were shocked to find out that the house had not been cleaned and was honestly left in a state. This experience was similar to many others who had signed with their properties and the landlord was quite rude to us and offered no apology, he just told us to write all the issues down on a paper and give it to them so that they could send cleaners (we ended up writing 4 double sided sheets). The cleaners and maintenance workers did come promptly and attended to some of the major issues but others were left still needing fixing/cleaning. We have also had issues with slugs. We are yet to properly move in and start living there but our initial experience has been quite stressful and I wish that landlords with university houses were more thorough with maintaining their properties.

A super helpful and professional agent who helped the process of signing for next year to be very smooth and easy.

Not a great agent, house was very dirty when we moved in, with many areas unclear and rubbish still left and didn’t include basic things like a TV.
