Having lived in the same flat with MS properties for three years I would say that they are quite good as a letting agent. They’re quick to reply to emails and phone calls, and any issues tend to be sorted quickly.
I haven’t lived there yet but they seem pretty on it with emails.
They are good estate agents and reply promptly when we have queries and issues that need rectifying. However, they have sometimes asked us to pay for issues which need fixing which was bizarre to me.
Upon moving in it was dirty however they quickly supplied us with appliances we needed such as a Hoover. MS Properties have been quick to rectify issues and reply to emails promptly with solutions.
MS properties have been great so far, any issues we have had have been solved within a couple of days. They reply to emails very quickly and provide solutions.
good overall but issues with packages.
They were very quick and helpful to sort out veiwings and contracts and the flat was very clean on arrival. They have been a little slow to sort out issues when reported and wanted to repaint the week we moved in but then kept delaying however this wasn’t too much of an issue for us.
ALP are a fantastic team with efficient house maintenance and they understand individual needs. Affordable rent and they allow pets, which is a bonus. Always at the other end of the phone, and a friendly and approachable bunch.
They are quick to contact the landlord on any issues brought up however they are very unaware of the rights of renters and the standards houses should be in before allowing people to move in. They will let the landlord know of complaints but after that they don’t really care, just saying that the landlord has been informed. Due to these oversights, we moved into a house with various issues including dampness (which was repeatedly denied – the landlord said it wasn’t damp and they didn’t bother to check – we were not believed about any issues until a contractor was brought I and revealed there were cracks in the outer walls allowing rain to get in) and insufficient cleaning. They demand that other tenants’ deposits be used on rent arrears that are not theirs but refuse to inform them that there are even rent arrears in the first place because for some reason the joint contract/tenancy is not important or applicable where it risks them making money. There is no denying that they are friendly and approachable but Jesus Christ they haven’t got a clue about housing and unfortunately neither do a lot of students therefore leaving the students to live in unsuitable conditions so unaware of their rights and not being helped by the people they trusted to rent them a house. There should be a screening process for who can rent a house to students because half of these houses need to be exorcised and then burnt to the ground instead of being rented out by uncaring, rude bigots just trying to make a quick buck. In conclusion, MS Properties is an approachable group of people who respond in good time and correctly inform of any visits, however, that is ruined by their lack of knowledge, their confusing policies, and the few horrible landlords they represent who only care what’s going into their pockets.
The flat was in decent condition when I moved in, it hadn’t been deep cleaned and the drains needed unclogging but the estate agent was quick to respond to issues and has been helpful with problems and queries. They have regular maintenance guys that are super friendly and happy to help although sometimes they take a while to do things.
