Uni 2 Rent are a student accommodation provider in Nottingham. They mainly list student properties in NG7 St Marks, Lister Gate and Middle Street. From their inception on the website, they’ve managed to gain 2 reviews. They list their portfolio properties for student lettings on Rightmove and OnTheMarket and their own company website.
Although the letting agency claim to be accessible, most times they are anything but. They are selective where they want to help and will occasionally depending on who you speak to out money before helping the students that are renting their property. They do have a few good advisors and property managers but they are few and far in between. Honestly a last resort!
The house was newly renovated over the summer, however, we were told it would have 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, as it originally had 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Upon moving in, the 3rd bathroom was not present and we were told we would have to settle with 2 bathrooms. We were not compensated. The first day we moved in, one of the bathroom showers was not sealed fully so water was leaking into the room below and into the smoke alarm causing the alarm to be triggered and unable to be turned off for a while. Maintenance issues were tended to quickly, and we often hardly had to wait more than 5 days. When the tenancy ended, only half the group received part of their deposit and after going back and forth with Uni2Rent but mainly being ignored the group and I decided to dispute the deposit amount with the company our deposit was protected with. It was a very long process. I would not recommend Uni2Rent to students in Nottingham. They are very greedy and take advantage of students which is disappointing given the current economic climate as well as with the cost of living situation. It is nearly impossible to speak to somebody on the phone and they often ignore your emails.
