Khalil properties did not stick to their promises, they took ages to fix problem in the and when we first moved in the house wasnt cleaned properly. Do research on other agencies before you decide.
House was dirty, mold on most walls. Tried to say the house was dirty at the end and charge us even though we cleaned the house. Charged us for gardening even though we used a prof company and they didn’t cut the grass till 5 days after moving in. Rude staff members. Used an old inventory and then tried to say they lost a part we wrote for them when we were leaving the house. Bad customer service and threaten you at the end if other housemates have not paid rent , said they would take it out of our damage deposit
We found a dead rat in the downstairs toilet and Khalil didn’t do anything to dispose of it. Also they didn’t return the deposit for a long time after the contract was finished and we had to go to Khalil a couple of times to find out what was going on with our deposit. Khalil also said that they would clean the house before we moved in but when we got there the house was in a state, there was also black mold everywhere in my room and they said it was my fault and i should open the windows more. The heating in the house was terrible as well, my room was freezing i could blow smoke in my room!
The house was not in a condition sutiable for the amount of rent that I paid. They also did not explain the contract fully incase you wanted to leave the tenancy early.
Khalil properties are by far the worst housing agents I have ever come across, their rude, ignorant and the main motive is to take as much as they can from you. Being desperate for housing , we accepted the house in its filthy condition. there were so many issues that needed tending to , but when we contacted the agency they avoid most. Response to maintenance complaints during the year was disgraceful and when they did eventually send people round for maintenance they were extremely nonprofessional and it was evident they didn’t know what they were doing. At the end of the tenancy , there was a huge list of things that we had to in order to give the house back – many of which were not completed for us before we moved in and although we returned the house in a far better condition than was rented to us , considerable amounts of money was cut from our deposit . Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone.
Evil bullies. Unbelievable damp, four months on only just starting to do as Environmental Health asked, even though they were told ages ago the flat was not ready for someone to live in. Living in uninhabitable conditions has effected my health and life in so many ways. Absolute crooks!
The girls that work there are nice people, but as for every other aspect of their letting agency they are absolutely atrocious. The house is disgusting, problems aren’t solved quickly, they tell us that they’re coming round to do something every week but never turn up.. And also very expensive for such poor quality. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
Khalil are a disgrace to student renting black mould dominates the walls and ceilings, we were without central heating for 6 months. The rent we are paying does not reflect the quality of the house it is a shambles. These guys don’t love students at all as they claim on the side of their building. Students stay clear of these guys please.
Avoid these guys are all nice before you sign up but after that your done for.
Khalil need to sort out their customer service asap students are not fairly treated a bit ironic since as it says ” we love students ” on the side of the building. They love us because so they can take the piss.
Incompetent Liasing and Management, Ahmed Khalil is great at charging students through the roof at the end of tenancd and illegally sublets the Landlords property to friends. Be careful when thinking of registerring your property with Ahmed, he cuts corners and doesn’t look after your building. Try pavillion properties a few doors down, you wont regret making that move.
Do not rent of khalil properties. We’ve had endless complaints. No hot water, rubbish since we moved in, broken beds, broken wardrobes. Then the damp black walls. They actually sent a maintenance man who couldn’t speak English in fact all the maintenance men can’t speak English. It’s like renting a house in down trodden side of town when we’re in areal that’s lovely. The emergency number is not worth calling. When we said we weren’t going to pay that’s when we threatened. I wish they did a programme on tv as Ahmed Khalil is one of the worst agents I’ve ever let a house from. The last straw was when we saw not only one rat but two!! We’ve now contacted the council. Students do not rent from this conman. It should be called ‘Sh** properties’
First of all the property had not been cleaned by our move in date and we had to wait around until the evening before we could move our stuff into the property. When it started getting cold we tried to turn on the heating but discovered it did not work, and we were not provided with heating until February, which led to mould in most of our rooms and the living area. Incompetent contractors were repeatedly sent to try to resolve any issues we had, some of which struggled to speak English. Towards the end of our tenancy, Khalil had told us that they would be undertaking works including tearing down the walls to one of our bedrooms during our tenancy (a violation of our tenancy agreement), which they had planning permission for but didn’t inform us of. We have complained and now the council are involved. Do not rent from Khalil Properies!
Very poor service for new tenants – the work that was promised prior to the tenants moving in was not completed. The property had been poorly cleaned, e.g. there was evidence of a recent rodent infestation. The property has been neglected for years – an electric shower had water dripping through it, locks are broken or missing, the garden was left like a meadow despite a clause in the tenancy agreement that it is maintained. Khalil is in breach of his own tenancy agreement.
Rubbish houses, rubbish service with a bunch of incompetent college dropouts running the company. Hardly fixes anything if repair is required, and when they do, a granny with very weak knees can do a better job than them. *THEY WILL CHARGE YOU RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF MONEY FOR THE THINGS YOU DID NOT BREAK* I’m surprised by the fact that no one has called the police on them because this is a massive scam that’s feeding off desperate students with hardly any money. Please NEVER use this agency, and if you do, I sincerely feel bad for you.
