Abysmal conning company… Rented with cryers for a year (student) – house was a mess when we moved in and they lack any communication or loyalty to their customers. Staff simply do not reply or contact you if they find themselves in a slightly sticky situation and leave you completely out of the loop despite it being urgent. They are rude and quite frankly just do not care about anything but themselves and their commission. Problems arose mostly when it came to moving out – they charged us ridiculously high fees for things that were not even true or evident within the house, and added ‘standard fees’ which are never mentioned prior to moving in. Mould was present in the house and they tried to charge us for the cleaning of it saying that it wasn’t there before, despite landlords and estate agents mentioning it on several occasions and recommending how to deal with it. Worst possible company to use, highly recommend steering clear!

They rip off students, make empty promises and take all of your money! We had squatters living in our garage for months, tripping our electrics, we had to get the police involved and it turned out cryers knew about it all along and didnt tell us, our lives could have been at risk! to compensate our lack of electric for A WEEK, our landlord gave us a measly £10 each (between 5 of us). We hired a professional cleaning service before we moved out because the carpets were filthy and weren’t cleaned before we entered the property and paid £250 of our own money, for them to tell us it was filthy when I have photographic evidence it was perfect and will be taking money from our deposit. the bathroom was damp when we moved in, causing mould for the two rooms adjacent and a serious health risk, cryers told us it was our fault for ‘not opening the windows when we had the heating on’. IF YOU ARE A STUDENT IN THE SOUTHAMPTON AREA, DO NOT GO WITH CRYERS. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

You should be ashamed, ripping off students. Cryers grab their money then do very little repairs. My sons house was full of damp which Cryers idea of sorting this out is to keep painting over it . You need closing down. I would like to know how you get away with it. They will invent any reason to keep as much of your deposit as possible. CORRUPT !!!!!!
