This agency has been poor at dealing with student problems and rents out poor standard housing in brighton to students. Very poor at responding to issues and blatantly ignores people. Would not recommend at all

Never done a review until I was asked to do one for this website Neil Sutherland are a good letting agent for students they actually get things done. Top people working there can’t fault them so far.

Having rented from other letting agents in previous years I can honestly say Neil Sutherland is the best letting agent I have rented with. Friendly and approachable this is how renting should be.

He was more than happy for us to contact him at any time, and also he was quick in organizing solutions to any problems that we had with our house. He was also very fair when it came to paying the rent, in that he would understand when one of our housemates was struggling to keep up with the rent deadlines.

My friends have a sutherland house and they are currently protesting over sutherland not fixing essential repairs then cutting all contact with tennants resulting in many protests from several tenants with student housing unions

A very professional, organised and helpful estate agent. Despite not being perfectly punctual to begin with, Neil proved to take on all of our criticisms about the house and make changes within an appropriate amount of time. He was very organised when it came to rent and other payments, and was also rather lenient to an extent about late payments, but kept on top of things, making us feel like we were in safe hands. In comparison to other estate agents, my advice would definitely be to take Neil Sutherland into consideration.

Very unresponsive to issues that we had as a flat and continuously tried to find ways to charge us for things we did not need to be charged for. Their guarantor process is long and strenuous while others I have rented with in brighton are very quick. Avoid at all costs especially if you’re a student
