Do not stick to legal requirements, eg refusing to show copy of tenancy. Unreliable, expensive, rude and terrible customer service. Avoid at all costs.

My experience with Wilkinsons up until I had moved out was fine, and I had no massive issues. The house was fantastic, for the price, and we were pleased. Now I have moved out they are being entirely unreasonable in trying to charge an unacceptable figure for a house that was left in a better state than when we moved in. I’ll update this review if they change their mind, but currently I cannot recommend them if they aren’t honest and trying to scam and discriminate against students like this. Their communication was an issue, as I had for the whole time I was there a door that would not open unless I rugby tackled it. It may sound minor, but it was never fixed despite me repeatedly asking – they also asked me how to fix it, which I felt was unprofessional.

Absolutely terrible letting agency, after four years of living in student accommodation, Wilkinsons are the worse agency that I have ever encountered. Communication is so poor, we had many different problems with our house and none were resolved. If I could of given this company zero stars I would of. Avoid this company at all costs!!!

Left us in peace for the year which is great, always notify of any visits and quick to respond to our problems, definitely would recommend.

They’re not bad in fairness, lovely people but just obviously take on bad landlords as our house has had one ceiling fall down and another one is on its way and we’ve been battling to have some sort of compensation? Also, the toilet upstairs was mentioned to us tenants as illegal from the plumber???? but as an agency they’re easy to contact and do take some interest in helping people to a degree. However, they sold it to us as ‘we’re always a phone call away, we’ll repair all your issues etc” but they are actually on entitled to about 100-120 pounds worth of fixing damage in properties.

They are a nice bunch of people, and very responsive to your problems. They have great communication when its needed, but they pretty much leave you to it. They have nice houses and mines pretty good for the amount of rent and proximity to town.

They don’t bother you unnecessarily, and if there is ever a problem or something that needs fixing they sort it out within a week.
