Any students wanting to sign up for a house anytime soon with Horizon? Don’t Bother they’re a terrible company and don’t deserve 1 star. They’re all happy and smiling when you’re interested in the house and say they’re brilliant at what they do but the fact is they’re not! If you have a complaint they take forever to either get back to you or even do the job! They blame this on a ‘back log’! Ludicrous considering you should do the job as soon as possible! Nice houses however a terrible experience!

If only 0 stars were possible. The most unprofessional, unhelpful and manipulative agency I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. We were forced to pay an agency fee before seeing a contract, then the contract they gave us violated everything they had previously said (not to mention was the worst written contract I have ever seen, spelling errors everywhere!). Once we saw this horrendous contract we asked for our agency fees back but we were refused them. After legal action they were returned but it took months of hard work. My advice is keep the Horizon at a distance .

Worst letting agency ever. As students ever since we signed the contract with horizon it has been having negatives impacts on our uni experience. The property is really big and could so easily be made into a really nice house but they refuse to repair and replace anything. The blonde women who is the owner is a vile human being. She seems to take new apprentices every year that are hand picked from the depths of hell to inflict as much misery as possible. The second your letting fee’s are payed she becomes very abusive and patronising.

Worst letting agents I have ever dealt with, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The house was in an unlivable state when we moved in even though we were told they had paid for a professional clean. Oven was not fit for purpose and was not replaced until three months after being informed of it. Staff are generally rude and unhelpful, the owner even going as far as to hang up on me mid sentence when I was trying to inform her of issues with the house.

Avoid at all cost I REPEAT AVOID AT ALL COST! I can even these people still run a business

I would strongly advise people to NOT rent with Horizon Properties. They provided us with hassle and stress from start to end. Being naive students they take advantage and the owner Victoria is extremely rude and I’m not really sure how she sleeps at night. Prior to signing the contract and giving over our money the they seem that they will go out of their way for you for anything, but do not be fooled. On the day we got the keys to our property, the house was disgustingly dirty, the garden was not accessible from the back door due to it being filled with waste, and the contract had not been fulfilled as promised (E.g. painting, working toilets, working hob, new beds, curtains, new washing machine/dryer, breakfast bar etc.). Victoria the owner stated that this would be sorted out the following day, this did not happen, and some things did not happen for the whole of the tenancy regardless of asking numerous times. There were numerous occasions that our shower leaked into our kitchen and interfered with the electrics (which is clearly dangerous), but the agents were insistent in sending round their handy man and just using sealant to temporarily fix the problem every time (which only lasted weeks). The heating also broke several times in the winter, and they had no urgency in getting this fixed, which was not ideal when we had damp that was not attended to. They NEVER reply to emails or return calls as promised, and even when physically going into the agents, no problems were fixed. We were called ungrateful and reminded of how lovely the house was (which is delusional). After sitting with our dinners on our lap for months, the breakfast bar was finally installed to a low standard, so that they could show it in their house viewings for the unfortunate next tenants. After moving out of the house and leaving the house in a much cleaner state than it was given to us, it was a nightmare to get our deposit back. We had to call them so many times and every time they just told us it would be processed after all our documents were given in (which they had been). I could go on and on but all I can stress is that I would not wish it upon anyone to rent with Horizon Properties.

DO NOT GO HERE !!! Staff is rude and unhelpful, one of them called Haynd is almost laughing at your face when you are explanning your problem, they will take your deposit for furniture already broken. They don’t fix any problem and won’t answer your emails… just avoid this agency

Another review like the terrible ones before… 1 star is too much to give these guys! They deserve a minus 100 and tbh don’t understand how they are still operating!?! I have had the same issues… lies about repairs, promised a lot of things which never happened; windows changed as they were single panel and the frames were leaking, garden to be cleared-which at the end of the tenancy they claimed it was done which they lied about, rubbish to be taken away from the previous tenants-still there til the day we moved out at the end of OUR tenancy a year later!!?? And when we had a mouse infestation- we discovered the floorboards in the bedrooms weren’t even together!!? I could stick my hand through the gaps to the ceiling!!! They took no responsibility as it was our fault the house was a shambles?? Anyways they are the most Unprofessinal, rude, ignorant and absolutely attrocious letting agency!! AVOID at all costs!!!!
